An interesting situation developed when Olden- burg—Cooper's teammate—be- gan challenging him for second place, which has significant title implications. Would Oldenburg hang back? The answer came quickly: no. Somewhat surprisingly, Oldenburg passed Cooper for second and squirted away. Old- enburg was clearly faster than Cooper on this night and just couldn't hold himself back. I just clipped that [sec- tion of track] off a tiny bit, and it pushed me forward on the bike and missed my brake and went up the berm. Then I backed down and almost backed into [Webb]." Osborne went on to finish out the race in second for his first podium of the season and career. 250SX East When Forkner pulled out on the third lap of the 250SX East main event because of his knee, the 2019 250SX East Champion- ship, like the 450SX class, was suddenly turned into a two-horse race for the title, between Sex- ton and Justin Cooper.
