his lead as Beach settled into
second, and Mees drifted back
in third. The top three positions
looked set as the field circulated
the long, flowing TT track. Bau-
man's lead had increased to over
three seconds by lap 12, but
then the lead began to shrink.
"I knew Briar was going to be
real quick; he was fast all day.

EARLY EXIT

bit of a rough day for me, being
that it's a pretty unique race track
with multiple jumps, a right-hander,
front brakeāall things that we don't
typically see all year," she said. "To
have that many obstacles was a bit
of a challenge for me. Keeping our
head up, though, we're seventh in
the points heading into Perris and
Sacramento, which are two tracks
that I feel pretty confident going
into, and I feel like we could have
two very strong results. Everything
