T
he 2019 American Flat Track season was not going
as well as JD Beach had hoped it would after com-
mitting to return to his dirt-track-racing roots. The
Estenson Racing/Monster Energy-backed Beach had
struggled through the first three rounds on his Yamaha
MT-07. That all turned around when Beach made a late-
race charge to win the 25-lap AFT Twins main at the aptly
named Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park.
To capture his first AFT Twins main, Beach had to run
down current points leader, Briar Bauman (Indian Motor-
cycle/Progressive Insurance, Indian FTR750), who was
looking to back up his Daytona TT win and was dominat-
ing all day long.
