SUPERCROSS ROUND 16 / APRIL 27, 2019 EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. / METLIFE STADIUM P54 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS isn't a 450SX Champion quite yet, but unless the unthinkable happens between now and the checkered flag in Las Vegas next Saturday night, Webb will be the new SX champ. "The track was difficult, you want to charge but stay in your comfort zone," Webb said. "I definitely got two gifts there [Tomac and Osborne crashing]. I felt like they were faster than me and catching me; you know they are doing something on the track better, but you don't know what. It's crazy how it all played out." DECIDER The final round of the 2019 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series will decide this year's 450SX Champion, but many positions in the top 10 are pretty much locked up. Ken Roczen has fourth place clinched, as does Blake Baggett in fifth. It will be tough for Joey Savatgy to catch the injured Dean Wilson for sixth, but it's doable. Savatgy is 15 points behind Wilson (who won't be racing in Vegas) in seventh. Cole Seely is within striking distance of Savatgy, too; Seely's 14 points back in eighth. Justin Bogle is currently ninth with 158 points, Justin Barcia (out for the season) is 10 th with 154 points, and right behind him are the injured Chad Reed and Justin Brayton, both with 151 points. Justin Hill is next closest with 148 points. Reed says he hopes to race in Vegas. Second in the championship, however, is very much up for grabs. Tomac holds the position with 335 points followed by Marvin Musquin with 327. ON THE LINE There will be a lot on the line in the 250SX class at Vegas. Both the East and West Championship divisions will be decided, and both are close. Adam Cianciarulo leads the West by Briefly... Webb let everything play into his hands, once again. Zach Osborne (16) and Blake Baggett (4) kept things interesting.
