Pointing Out
In response to the letter from
ART861MX in the latest Voices, I
agree with him 100% until his last
paragraph naming those riders.
Not all these were affected by
this "curse." Way too many other
factors played a part. Some may
have not moved onto more titles
but many sure left a name. Ezra
Lusk was one of the few who
could step up and challenge
the King of Supercross (Jeremy
McGrath) in his prime. John
Dowd was already way into his
career when he got his title and
all the things he accomplished
afterward. And he is still doing
impressive stuff.

Texas Half Mile
It was too bad to see Bryan Smith
so helpless on the Kawasaki and
failing to make the main.
One of the night's highlights
was seeing the two Harleys mov-
ing up through the field. Halbert
and Vanderkooi finally looked
competitive and will hopefully be-
come a presence in the standings.

Empire Of Dirt: Only
One Number One?
Who cares if Marvin Musquin
is considered the number-one
or number-two guy? Every race
there are four guys with a real
shot at winning: Webb, Tomac,
Marvin and Roczen. With that
said, Marvin is still an asset to
the KTM team. They would be
crazy not to re-sign him.

Good Eye!
As a long time reader back to
your paper days, I must say that
your online photos are the best
in the industry.
Someone(s) there has a really
good eye.

EU Trade Wars
It sucks, but if sacrificing a new
KTM that might impact 10% of
my time helps improve the US
economy, which impacts every
other aspect of my life, then I
support it.

Say goodbye to a lot of family-
owned dealerships in America.
The enthusiasts who have sunk
their lives into their business
and have been the backbone
of the European motorcycle
riders community are going to
lose everything. The people who
invested their lives in running the
truly knowledgeable shops will
not survive this.
Once all those mom-and-pop
dealerships turn into vacant build-
ings and people with nothing to
show for a life's work, the ripples
will spread. Bike values will go
down for bikes that have no deal-
ership support, which will drag
down the value of all bikes. Some
people will give up riding which
will reduce sales for the apparel
and accessories companies, and
so on and so on.

And the 690 would become a 701.

Archives: The Hogslayer
I remember seeing it in 1972.
It sounded awesome on a little
single-speaker television back in
those days. I can only imagine
what it really sounded like in
person.
Great stuff as always Double L!
