SUPERCROSS ROUND 15 / APRIL 13, 2019 DENVER, COLORADO / BRONCOS STADIUM AT MILE HIGH P60 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS NO REST FOR THE WICKED The 2019 Monster Energy AMA Su- percross Series sees its first week- end off of the year this coming Easter weekend. Denver represented the 15th consecutive Saturday night of racing for the 450SX field, although only a handful have been able to make every round. For some, the weekend off will be an opportunity to let some nagging injuries heal a little bit. For others, it will be an oppor- tunity to get in some testing for the upcoming MX Nationals that start in May. For points leader Cooper Webb, his closest challenger Eli Tomac, and probably even Marvin Musquin (who is still mathematically in the title chase), they will likely stick to what they've been doing until the SX title is done and dusted for one of them. TOMAC STAYS Eli Tomac's three-year contract with Monster Energy Kawasaki began in late 2016 and carries through late 2019. He recently re-signed with Kawasaki on another multi-year deal, but this time, sources privy to the situ- ation have said he gave his race team an ultimatum: Either crew chief Mike Williamson goes, or he does. From what we've been told, Williamson had the ear of team management and was a consistent roadblock for Tomac when it came to testing over the years, and he left the team officially a few weeks ago. Immediately after that, Tomac's current winning streak began. DOCTOR'S ORDERS Enzo Lopes (JGRMX/Yoshimura Suzuki) returned to racing despite not Briefly... Justin Bogle rode to an impressive fourth!
