If Tomac manages to win out—
which he is more than capable
of doing at this point—all Webb
needs to do is finish in the top
five in both races to be crowned
the 2019 champ.

Monster Energy Yamaha's Justin
Barcia was missing from the field in
Denver as he and his team decided
it would be best for him to stay home
and heal up so that he can be ready
for the start of the 2019 Motocross
Nationals that kick off in May. "At this
point, it seems that the best thing to
do is to let my body recover," Bar-
cia said. "I'm just going to keep on
training, skip the last few supercross
races and let my body heal up. Think-
ing about that now, I probably should
have done that a few weeks ago
because I was injured already, but I
really wanted to be at the supercross
race with my team and fans and put
on a good showing. For right now,
I'm going to regroup and be ready for
the first outdoor." The team will keep
Josh Grant on to finish out the AMA
Supercross series, and Grant will be
the only rider on the team, as Aaron
Plessinger is also still healing up
from the broken heel he suffered in
Daytona last month.
Briefly...
Cooper Webb gave away some points
but is still in an excellent position to
win the 450SX Championship.
