Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin was another rider who many
thought would give Wilson a fight,
but not on this night. The former
MX2 World MX Champion went
down in the first turn. He kept his
championship hopes well alive,
however, by putting in a fantastic
ride, going from dead last to sixth.
Gavin Faith, who got the East
Series started with a win in the
first heat race on his Smarttop/
MotoConcepts Honda, ended up
seventh, followed by High Octane H-D/Honda's James Decotis, Slaton Racing/Honda's Vince
Friese and Munn Racing/KTM's
Lance Vincent.
