SUPERCROSS ROUND 13 / MARCH 30, 2019 NRG STADIUM / HOUSTON, TEXAS P62 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS iii My Own Race: 15 DEAN WILSON 3RD (3-2-5) 450SX Dean Wilson grabbed his first podium since Indianapolis last year, which was round 12 of the series. He had an incident in the first main that sent Marvin Musquin careening off the track, and laughed about it afterward. "I think, for the Triple Crown, obviously I'm not a big fan of it, but I think once you get the first one done, the second and third one to me isn't that bad," Wilson said. "But the first one's always the tough one for me. I was really tired the first one and felt like I was holding on to a bull, so I kind of connected with Marv [Musquin] in the whoops and he kind of flew over the berm. Not that it's funny, but I was just trying to hold on, and Marv flies over the berm! He probably thought I was trying to take him out, but I was just holding on to a bucking bronco. But I made it through and somehow managed to get third in the first one, and after that I was good." 14 COLE SEELY 5TH (4-4-11) 450SX Coley Seely (Honda HRC) enjoyed his best finish of the season with fifth place. "Tonight was pretty good," Seely said. "I finally finished in the top five, which is where I feel like I should've been all year. The way things have been going so far have been frustrating, and it's hard to explain; the toll the injury took on me last year was a lot more intense and in-depth than I thought it was. It's been a long road to get back to here but I feel like I've had speed all year, I just haven't been able to put it all together. It feels good to finally break into that top five and run up front with those guys in the first two mains, relatively easily, too. I know it's not a traditional 20-minute main but it felt like it was coming to me pretty easy, so that's definitely a confidence booster heading into the final rounds." 94 KEN ROCZEN 10TH (1-21-8) 450SX "The first main event tonight was seriously so good," said Ken Roczen. "We grabbed a great start and got out front right away, pulling a 10-second gap on the rest of the field. It was amaz- ing to see the checkered flag before anyone else; unfortunately, it was only in one main. In the second one, I got tangled up with Dean's [Wilson] rear wheel and went down pretty hard. I smashed my toe and originally thought I had an ankle injury but luckily that wasn't the case. My bike was also so bent up after the crash. I got checked out and it actually started to feel better, instead of worse, after 15 to 20 minutes. That was good but my toe was still in a lot of pain. Luckily I was able to just jump back on the bike and do what I could in the third main, salvaging an eighth-place and getting 10th overall. At one point, it will come." 31 RJ HAMPSHIRE 2ND (3-2-4) 250SX WEST RJ Hampshire had a fantastic night in Houston, especially considering how much of a slide he's been on after starting the series with a run of fourth-place finishes. "It's been four weekends in a row where we haven't even been in the top five, so this week we spent it in California where we tested outdoors for a couple days and then we kind of focused on fixing the issues we had on Thursday," Hampshire said. "And then we just had good starts all night. The first two main events, we rode decent where I was strong in the whoops, and I think maybe because I kind of knew where I was in the points, I let up on the whoops in the final main, and it wasn't pretty after that. But like I said, stoked on the night." 39 COLT NICHOLS 3RD (5-4-1) 250SX WEST "The bike was great," Colt Nichols said of his night. "Made a change to the suspension af- ter the first main and it was great, so huge thank you to the team for suggesting and making the change to the bike. The track conditions were awesome, and the dirt here in Texas is great. Quick turnaround between the mains, so fitness was key, and I was happy with how I felt all night. The main thing that hurt me in the first two mains was my starts. I finally got off to a good start in that last one with the holeshot. I almost rode a little tight in the lead." 92 ADAM CIANCIARULO 4TH (1-10-3) 250SX WEST Adam Cianciarulo had everything going his way in Houston, qualifying first overall, then winning the opening of the three main events going away, only for trouble to strike in the second main, ruining his chances at the win. "I mean, as much as
