SUPERCROSS ROUND 13 / MARCH 30, 2019 NRG STADIUM / HOUSTON, TEXAS P64 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS for this championship." Ferrandis now controls his own destiny in the fight for the num- ber-one plate, as he trails by five points with two rounds left and three points separating first and second place in any given main event. CN 450SX 1. Cooper Webb (KTM) 2-1-3 2. Marvin Musquin (KTM) 5-3-1 3. Dean Wilson (Hus) 3-2-5 4. Eli Tomac (Kaw) 6-7-2 5. Cole Seely (Hon) 4-4-11 6. Zach Osborne (Hus) 10-6-4 7. Colt Nichols (Yam) 5-4-1 4. Adam Cianciarulo (Kaw) 1-10-3 5. James Decotis (Suz) 6-5-6 6. Cameron McAdoo (Hon) 9-6-5 7. Justin Starling (Hus) 12-8-8 8. Sean Cantrell (KTM) 11-7-13 9. Garrett Marchbanks (Kaw) 10-3-19 10. Chris Blose (Hus) 8-19-7 Cianciarulo dropped seven points to Ferrandis on the night and now leads the 250SX West by only five points with two rounds remaining. The 250SX West goes on a one-week break, while the East takes over this weekend, but then they return to action in Denver a week later before they head to the 250cc East/West Shootout in Las Vegas to determine the 2019 champions. "It's good," Ferrandis said. "I made a really good operation tonight. I managed to be back in a championship position. There're two very important rounds [coming up], and I'll do whatever I can to challenge AC In the final main event, Nichols took the early lead over Ferran- dis, while Cianciarulo, having suffered a mediocre start, ended up getting collected in a crash in the whoops and rounded the opening lap in 13th. He fought his way up to third at the finish, but his 1-10-3 score was only good enough for fourth overall on the night, while Ferrandis ended up taking the overall win with his 2-1- 2. Hampshire ended up second overall, his second-ever podium (his first podium coming in his rookie season of 2015). Nichols, still not 100 percent after his big crash while leading a week ago, was third on the night with a 5-4-1 score. iii My Own Race: I'd love to sit here and say, 'Man, this guy crashed in front of me, and this guy cross-jumped me,' really, it comes down to my fault, because I didn't get the start in the second main," Cianciarulo said. "I put myself in a bad position, and I locked bars with somebody in the first corner in the second main, and that forced me to go off the track. And from there it's just you're trying to do your best to get to the front, and it's tough. Those guys are racing you, and I, unfortunately, came together with Sean [Cantrell] after the finish line there, and that's the way it goes some- times. But there's nothing I love more than a good battle—especially a battle for the champion- ship—and I think it's five points now. Unfortunately, it didn't go our way tonight, but we have two races to make it happen, and I couldn't be more confident in myself."
