SUPERCROSS ROUND 12 / MARCH 23, 2019 CENTURYLINK FIELD / SEATTLE, WASHINGTON P62 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS iii My Own Race: 2 COOPER WEBB 4TH 450SX Cooper Webb said of his night: "It was a tough main event. I've been really good on my starts and didn't execute. It's pretty frustrating. I put my head down and was losing a lot of time because I wasn't doing a quad that a lot of the guys started doing. I was behind the eight-ball on that. And once I started doing that, I started making some passes. So, it's fourth place, but those guys were great tonight. They straight-up out-rode me, so that's frustrating." 64 JIMMY DECOTIS 3RD 250SX WEST Jimmy Decotis (JGR/Yo- shimura Suzuki) had a solid day in Seattle, taking advan- tage of the long whoop section to grab a podium finish, his second of the year. It also comes one race after he failed to make the main event at the Atlanta East/West Shootout. "The whoops were honestly really good all day," Decotis said. "I felt like I was probably one of the better guys in them, and I'm sure these two were the other guys who I felt were strong in them, but in the main event, it turned into a jump line. I wasn't really confident in the jump line, but I just went with what everyone else was doing and kind of struggled in them. Overall, I like that we have a big, long set of whoops. I think it's something we need in these races to separate guys." 94 KEN ROCZEN 2ND 450SX "Well, here's the thing, as the red-cross flag came out, I was roll- ing, and I saw him doubling through, and I was like, 'Oh, that was not okay,'" Roczen said of the main event. "I knew it right there and then. That's when he gapped me quite a bit, but after, I was stuck in race mode, and then towards the end, I forgot about it until they said something again. It was a clear red-cross flag, so I'm excited to see what they're going to say. I bounced back pretty good from the last two weeks. I'm not 100 percent yet—I noticed it even be- fore the main event—but overall, I rode my heart out, and we had a solid race, so I can't be happier right now." 3 ELI TOMAC 3RD 450SX Eli Tomac grabbed another podium one week after his slide off of the podium in Indianapolis. "Better overall race than last week," Tomac said. "On the start tonight, I got a little bit pushed out wide there, but made a good move down the second straightaway, made a few passes, and then I felt like I was in touch with Marvin and Ken for the first half of the race. Then I fell off a little bit in the middle, and then I felt like I came back at the end, but by then it was too far gone. I was working the whoops good early on skimming, and then I kind of took too long to get to my rhythm jumping. I think that's what cost me. I've got to pick up on those lines a little bit quicker next time. Overall, I was better on the weekend, but it's just an okay third."
