Carver two laps later. Carver then
began to drop as Wiles took over
on lap 18.
It's been a struggle for him, but
Jarod Vanderkooi (Harley-David-
son Motor Company/Vance &
Hines, Harley-Davidson XG750R)
has shown some newfound
speed in the factory Harley-Da-
vidson. Vanderkooi bounced up
and down before moving into fifth
at the five laps to go mark.
Two laps later, Robinson made
his move and grabbed the lead
for the first time. It briefly ap-
peared Mees might mount a
counter attack, but Robinson
edged away. His margin of vic-
tory grew to over six-tenths of a
second. "He had a little mishap,
and I was able to roll around the
outside of him," said Robinson.

chased down Wiles
and finished out
the night in third.
