run, but Webb still managed to put
two more points on Tomac, who now
trails Webb by 21.
"It was a tough race," Webb said.
"I didn't get the best start so I had to
make some passes. Then I stalled
the bike and lost a couple positions. I
was pretty bummed on that because
I felt like I was in a good position to
win. It wasn't my best main event."
Behind Tomac in fourth came Jus-
tin Barcia in what was his first race
back since suffering a concussion
while practicing and sitting out the
last two races. Remarkably, it was
Barcia's first top-five finish since win-
ning the series opener in Anaheim.
SWEEPS
The Indianapolis Supercross marked
the third 450SX podium sweep for KTM
of 2019, with Marvin Musquin, Blake
Baggett and Cooper Webb. During the
week, Webb and Musquin train togeth-
er at the Baker's Factory (trainer Aldon
Baker's place), while Baggett trains on
his own at the Chupacabra Ranch just
down the road. "I put up a new internet
tower, it's 90 feet, so I'm going to put
up a camera to see what Coop [Cooper
Webb] and Marv [Musquin] are doing
at Aldon's," Baggett joked. "I'm going to
spy on them. I'm only three miles away,
so I think I've got line-of-sight now.
Briefly...
Eli Tomac did
not have the
fire in his eyes
like he had the
week before at
Daytona.
Austin Forkner
breezed to another
250SX East main-
event win.
