Oldenburg indicated on his Instagram account that he thought he could cruise in for third place and didn't realize his teammate was so close on the last lap. BIRTHDAY BOY Chad Reed turned 37 the Friday before the Indianapolis Supercross. He qualified decently during the daytime, less than a second off the lead time in ninth, and battled up front in his heat race, finishing fourth, but a fall on lap two of the Indianapolis main event left him coming through the pack to eventu- ally finish 11th, the last racer on the lead lap.
