The five-day food fest takes place at the Crossroads and is a chance for gear-heads who also like to cook outdoors to show their chef's chops at custom motorcycle or car events. All a contender needs to do is show up, pick what they want to use from the on-site pantry, and get cooking. They have two hours to make the signature dish of the day, which will then be judged by a panel of three or four lucky judges from the culinary and powersports industries. The top three places win cash and prizes but the chef with the highest points total at the end of the week wins a special grand prize they're going to love. Barbecue legend Ray "Dr. BBQ" Lampe will be emceeing onstage, presenting not just the winners but also daily demos by sponsors to up your backyard cooking game. Hungry attendees can also get their eat on as well. Competition categories include burger, chili, steak tips, and more. rock bands ever. Twenty number-one Billboard Hot Country Hits and 42 top tens make Toby Keith one of America's most successful artists, and on Thursday, August 8, fans will have the chance to hear this icon perform many of them live at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. The performance coincides with the Chip's 28th annual Freedom Celebration, a fact that is no coin- cidence. Keith has written and performed several extraordinarily patriotic number-one hits, has made several trips to the Middle East to entertain American troops. Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Zakk Wylde will bring the hard rock super-group Zakk Sabbath and the full thunderous fury of Black Sabbath hits to the Wolfman Jack Stage on Saturday, August 10. Together with bassist Blasko (Ozzy, Rob Zombie) and drummer Joey Castillo (Danzig, Queens of the Stone Age), the group will bring Buffalo Chip fans the most insane jams from Black Sabbath's first six albums. More acts will be announced by the Chip.
