Realizing that Tomac was on a
different level on this night, Webb,
who finished third here last year,
was happy to come away with
second place, mainly because
he was able to extend his overall
points lead.
"It was a battle the whole time,"
Webb said. "I made some mis-
takes at the start and had to work
my way up. Marvin was all over me
at the end. It was a fun race, a dif-
ficult race and I'm happy to get on
the podium again at Daytona."
Musquin finished out the night
third—no doubt a disappointing
third for him. He was extremely
fast throughout the day and night
heat race and then the main event was
looking like it would be off to a great
start, but then I got roosted in the sand
section, I couldn't see, and I went right
into a Tuff Block and fell. After that, I
was in dead last and was able to come
back to 11th. It's obviously a huge
disappointment on the result but onto
next weekend."
