IN THE WIND P58 "We were going back and forth," Seeds said. "Trevor, he looked like he was a rookie on the asphalt today! He'd go down, get up, go down again, get up, go down! "It was so much fun racing with close friends because we can joke about it [afterwards]. I'm a little bummed to get second; I wanted to try to run Trevor down. Unfortunately with that crash and ringing my bell, I'm just happy to be on the podium right now," the YZ450FX-mounted rider offered. "I've got to give it up to those guys for making it a fun race. I apologize to Eric because I did get him a little close to a wall up on the ridge, but I had to get by him because I knew Trevor was coming." "Me, Justin and Trevor, we were on the move," Yorba noted. "We opened up a little bit of a gap on fourth, and I dabbed my knee pretty good on the second lap and Seeds was able to get around me shortly after. I did a lap without goggles [after Seeds splashed me, allowing Stewart to also get by] and I made the deci- sion to come into the pits a lap before I was planning, but after that I was just trying to [nurse] my knee as much as I could." At the finish, Yorba and his Mo- tion Pro/Motorex/Klim-backed 450 XC-F were exactly a min- ute behind Seeds, who was 37 seconds behind Stewart's finish of one hour, 33 minutes and 37 seconds. In turn, Yorba was 38 seconds ahead of Slam Life Rac- ing (SLR) Honda's Derek Kelley with FastHouse Yamaha-mounted Justin Hoeft fifth. Kawasaki rider Ryan Surratt, Pro II winner Ciaran Naran on his 3 Bros. Husqvarna FC 250, TBT Racing Kawasaki's Ryan Reina and Pro II riders Tyler Rosa and Tyler Lynn rounded out the top 10 overall. Mark Kariya Ciaran Naran backed up his Pro II win at round two with a convincing triumph at round three, establishing him as the man to beat in the class early in the season. After sitting out much of last year with injury, Austin Eddy showed he's getting back to speed by handing Mikayla Nielsen a rare defeat in the D37 Super Mini race. Pro Results 1. Trevor Stewart (Hon) 2. Justin Seeds (Yam) 3. Eric Yorba (KTM) 4. Derek Kelley (Hon) 5. Justin Hoeft (Yam) 6. Ryan Surratt (Kaw) 7. Ryan Reina (Kaw) 8. Nic Garvin (Hon) 9. Rento Minuto (Yam) 10.
