VOL. 56 ISSUE 7 FEBRUARY 20, 2019 P13
40 Years Young
Valentino Rossi turned the magic 40
last week. After 23 seasons in Grand
Prix motorcycle racing, "The Doctor" has
amassed 115 Grand Prix victories to his
name, nine world championships and is
the most successful premier-class rider
in the history of the sport. But he was
once a grom just like everyone else, so
here's the then 17-year-old charging to his
first 125cc Grand Prix victory at Brno in
the Czech Republic in 1996.
