CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G "I don't remember the points ever being this tight after so many rounds." Archives: More Than Meets The Eyes What a great story. Once again, I'm reminded why I love motorcycling and all the great people that love it and have brought it to where it is now. The men and women of the motorcycling community are the best and represent what America is all about. So far, I've spent almost 60 years of my life riding motorcycles. I've ridden on-road, off-road, MX, enduros, and have at least a quar- ter of a million miles riding two-up with my wife of 35 years. We have ridden the U.S., Canada and New Zealand, and I have to say that the motorcyclists we have met are quality kind folks. Al Banta Larry Lawrence, please keep up the great stories of the fantastic history of our sport. Thank You! Dr. Bob Brownell Minneapolis Supercross Chad Reed isn't done yet, despite the naysayers. He's got several top-10 finishes and sits eighth in the points. He and Justin Brayton are showing that sometimes age is just a number. James Edward Zeiser You've got to really hand it to Justin Brayton, the guy keeps on impressing. He injured his thumb the previous week in San Diego and comes back and finishes fifth in the 450 main at Minneapolis! Just check out some of the names that finished behind him: Tomac, Reed, Barcia, Plessinger, Seely, Bogle, Baggett… Way to go, Justin, you're making us "old guys" proud. And you too, Reed. Wayne Johnson Cooper Webb has been the surprise of the season. I don't remember the points ever being this tight after so many rounds. Hope the contenders stay healthy and the championship goes down to the last race and not the last guy standing. Terry Heath I feel like I'm seeing an evolution of how to race in the 450SX class. I was really impressed with Webb and Tomac. Eli didn't press and crash, he rode smart and took what was there. Cooper had a freight train of top guys behind him and didn't seem to care. He was focused ahead and waited half the race for the right moment to pass. I'm still not on his bandwagon yet, but he's riding with a lot of confidence and showing mental toughness. Ken Bateman Good to see Cooper Webb doing what I though he could do on a 450. Seems like the KTM has brought back his smooth riding style. The close points race makes it even better—three wins and Webb is still fighting to get to the red plate. Nice ride by Ken Roczen, as well.
