We ran the classic photo of Mick Doohan's famous crash to accompany
our cover story on the consequences of crashing… Ezra Lusk captured
his third win just five rounds into the AMA Supercross Series, his latest
victory came at Edison International Field…aka, Anaheim Stadium.
Nathan Ramsey won the 125cc West SX main… We covered Mike
Healey's win in the PACE U.S. Off-Road Championships at Edison
International Field… We interviewed road racer Kenny Roberts Jr.
We asked the question: Can anyone beat R.J.? Evidently, no one could
or did at the Seattle Supercross doubleheader. Rick Johnson won both
nights… We covered the Hollister Cowpuncher National Hare Scrambles
and the SCORE Parker 400, and Larry Roeseler won both of them, the
hare scrambles on Sunday and the Parker 400 on Saturday, when he
teamed with Danny LaPorte. If that
wasn't enough, Roeseler also rode the
last 30 miles of the 400 for runner-
up and fellow Kawasaki rider Ted
Hunnicutt.
