CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G "Unless someone put rocket fuel in Michele Cervellin's bike, I doubt there was any advantage gained." San Diego Supercross I watched with amazement at these athletes putting it all on the line. Dealing with all kinds of track conditions definitely shows how important physical conditioning and intense track training are. Sidney Busch Two weeks ago Tomac was riding lap after lap feet up. In the mud, he (and all others) at times had two feet out in the whoops. It was painful to watch but it was real motocross. The best riders won and I would imagine that some will purposely over-water their practice tracks on occasion. Ed Stovin That was a tough SoCal mud race—51 degrees in the wet and slop. The Tuff Block vinyl covers inter- fered with the race again. Almost cost ET a win. Those things are stupid and should be banned. Adam Wright No Comment I've been a subscriber to Cycle News from 1979 to 2010, or when- ever the print editions were phased out, but now I read every on- line edition. Thanks for your excellent work! I love the online Cycle News these days almost as much as I loved waiting for my issues the first years being a subscriber back in 1979! However, it does blow that we can't leave any comments un- less we're Facebook subscribers, which I have no interest in! Nonetheless, thanks for the great coverage and pictures, etc. I've followed the Pro MX/SX tours faithfully since 1978. For what its worth, I enjoy the Triple Crown races very much as heats, semis, and LCQs pale in comparison to three mains! Thanks again. Tom Hoffman In The Paddock: Teammates From Hell MotoGP promises to be the most interesting year in a very long time, at least since the arrival of Mar- quez on the MotoGP scene. He certainly has more seat time on the Honda, and Lorenzo may be slow to get comfortable on the Honda, but he will win races. If they get into a duel on the track Dovi may slip by. Let the show begin! Al Banta MX Of Nations: Italy DQ'd Unless someone put rocket fuel in Michele Cervellin's bike, I doubt there was any advantage gained. To think the rider, a mechanic or anyone on the team intentionally used improper fuel is ludicrous. I suspect a container with trace amounts of something like lead was used without being thoroughly flushed. To penalize the entire team for an honest mistake is too extreme. The overall came down to a battle between Gautier Paulin and Antonio Cairoli in the final moto and if Italy had come out on top would they still have been disqualified? Championships should be decided on the track and not in a lab. The FIM should be promoting the sport not giving it a black eye. Phil Dilmore It's up to the teams to make sure what goes into the tank just like athletes have to know what they're putting into their bodies. Also, Italy didn't appeal. I don't have a problem with the penalty, but I'm sure some might think it's too extreme. What I really have a problem with is the FIM making a ruling on this while Broc Tickle is still hanging.
