BRIDGESTONE
LAUNCHES NEW DOT
OFF-ROAD TIRE
B
ridgestone introduced its new Battlecross E50 motorcycle
tires for enduro competition. The Battlecross E50 comes
in one front tire size (90/90-21-inch) and two rear tire sizes
(120/90-18 and 140/80-18) in the U.S. and Canada. They are
DOT approved and compliant with FIM regulations.
Bridgestone says this tire has been designed to deliver "high
traction and cornering performance on a variety of road surfac-
es." The tires employ the company's proprietary Castle Block
technology and a specialized edge, called bunker, located at
the base of the tread blocks, that the company says enables
the tire to exert "strong traction on soft surfaces." Bridgestone
says it also used "3D simulations to optimize
the shapes and positions of the tread blocks
to deliver higher levels of cornering perfor-
mance" in both the front and rear tire. CN
Bridgestone announced
its new Battlecross E50
off-road competition tire
that is also DOT certified.
