CHAMPIONSHIP VOL. 56 ISSUE 5 FEBRUARY 5, 2019 P51 ZACHO TO RETURN Zach Osborne (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) is planning to make his 450SX debut for his team at the Minne- apolis Supercross this week. He missed the start of the series with a broken col- larbone he suffered just before the start of the series. With defending champ and teammate Jason Anderson out for likely the rest of the 2019 series, Os- borne will be a welcome addition under the Husqvarna awning. WHAT COULD'VE BEEN Ken Roczen returned to the podium for the first time in three rounds at San Diego, but more importantly, he made it out of California to contest the rest of the series, which he hasn't done since 2016. "In my mind, the season doesn't really fully start until like round 10 [Daytona]," Roczen said. "That's when you've got to think about being close to the front, or leading. So, right now, I'm kind of just picking my battles a little bit, and I just want to get out of the west coast because it's been a long time since I've accomplished that." He was disappointed that he fell in the second turn after grabbing the hole- shot, and that he lost second place in the last turn of the race, but his starts are better and things are looking up. "I thought I was in third, and obviously I got passed by Marvin [Musquin] with one turn to go, so I wasn't really stoked about that," Roczen said. "Yeah, it could've been a second place, and they're all really important points, but all in all, I've changed some things around this week, and we made some improvements for starts on the bike, and also myself; I changed a couple little things out that seemed to pay off, because today the starts were really, really important.
