In the 250SX class, Adam Cianciarulo nailed the
holeshot in the main event and held off the early
charge by points leader Colt Nichols (Monster Ener-
gy/Yamalube Star Yamaha). Once Cianciarulo pulled
out a bit of a gap, Nichols came under fire from
his teammate Dylan Ferrandis, who took second
place from him with just over a handful of laps to go.
Nichols held off last week's winner Shane McElrath
(TLD/Red Bull KTM) for the final podium spot.
"I'm so proud of myself today," Cianciarulo said.
"My team, myself. People know I'm good on those
harder, slick tracks, but notoriously I've struggled
when it comes to ruts, and...man, it was not pretty.
I'm just so happy I was able to pull it out."
Ferrandis was disappointed with second place.
"It's a little frustrating to finish second again, but I
mean, I did a good race," Ferrandis said. "I didn't
