MEAD WINS X
GAMES GOLD IN H-D
SNOW HILLCLIMB
L
ogan Mead, of Concord, California, ended up
winning X Games Gold for the Harley-Davidson
Snow Hill Climb, after defeating last year's winner
Travis Whitlock in the finals, January 27.
Even though the bikes were set up very differently,
both were competing on KTM 1290 Super Dukes.
Jake Anstett of Team Peterson, ended up with the
Bronze medal riding his KTM 1190 Super Duke.
The top two tire setups consisted of rear street
bike tires with over 100 Woody's ice studs drilled
through them, to create maximum traction on the
hard-packed course. The hill this year was moved to
the Big Air Landing, and became quite technical for
many of the riders after snow churned up and ruts
formed.
