CN III VOICES W H A T Y O U A R E S A Y I N G "It's one thing to manage a championship, but managing third for the win is exactly why motocross implemented bonus points for top positions." SX Triple Crown: Love It Or Leave It? The three-moto format is far bet- ter in every way. No, they don't just cruise around, they sprint as fast as they can for each entire moto. Three 12-lap mains equal 36 laps of main-event racing instead of 20! Three main-event starts! And, yes, unlike one 20-minute main where they get all strung out, it keeps the racing closer together. Lastly, it's much more exciting not falling asleep through all the semis waiting for the main to start. Doug Brown It's one thing to manage a cham- pionship, but managing third for the win is exactly why motocross implemented bonus points for top positions. The single-point system incentivizes cruise control. Bonus points incentivize competitive racing. Gregory Eddinger Love it, intense racing in a quicker format. Great for the athletes and fans. The track was a little un- spectacular but the riders were awesome. Hope Barcia gets back up soon. Now, about the camera coverageā€¦ Kennfuller Watching the third moto re- minded me of a lot of single- main races I've watched. The winner builds up a safe lead and cruises the rest of the way. At least we got two exciting motos before the last one. Heat races are usually pretty lackluster. I'd rather watch all the top guys racing together, and for points. Ken Bateman I don't like it. One, I like seeing the struggle to qualify for the main. Newcomers and stars sometimes struggle; I like see- ing that. Two, the three Triple Crown mains are too short. I like seeing riders working their way back to a win or a better finish from a bad start or a crash. The Triple Crown format doesn't allow for that. Three, I like seeing the lead- ers working through lappers. Alfred Kirkland I like it over heat racing. Posi- tioning means more so you get better entertainment. Motos could be a bit longer, however. At least for the 450s. Larry Armendariz It keeps you engaged the whole night. Tim Locey Mixed feelings but the racing was great. Mx_mtb_b17 I'm still not a fan. But making all the main events (motos) the same length is an improvement. I do like that they just award points for the overall finishing or- der. I hate that they award points per moto in the outdoor series. Schanland Honda CRF450RWE Test Sick bike but give it a hydraulic clutch already!
