THE STATE OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Beaubier is on one of four factory super-
bikes on the MotoAmerica grid and one of the
best placed to comment on the state of the
championship. As the current champion, we
asked him what he thought about the difficul-
ties facing the series and Danny Walker's Road
Race Factory team closing.
"Yeah, it's tough," Beaubier started. "I try and
stay positive about the sport moving forward, but
it is tough when you've got manufacturers cut-
ting budgets and a bigger team like Road Race
Factory pulling out. It's a bummer. I hope that it
turns around and keeps climbing like it has the
last couple years, because I think MotoAmerica
as a championship has gotten a lot better.
