J
ustin Brayton (Smartop/Bull-
frog/Motoconcepts Honda
Racing) wrapped up his busy "off-
season" with a win at the Torino
Supercross in Italy, December 15.
On the small arenacross-style
track, Brayton beat out fellow
American Cole Seely (Honda
HRC) for the overall victory.
Brayton and Seely traded wins
in the first two main events, then
Brayton capped the night off win
another win in the Superfinal
event which gave him King of
Torino honors over Seely and
French rider Jimmy Clochet, who
led the Superfinal before get-
ting passed by both Brayton and
Seely on the final lap. CN
(L-R) Americans Cole Seely, Justin Brayton and Jimmy Clochet made up
the podium at the Torino Supercross in Italy.
CRAIG, STEWART
SUFFER INJURIES
G
eico Honda's Christian Craig
and Smartop/Bullfrog/
Motoconcepts Honda Racing's
Malcolm Stewart both suffered
injures in separate incidences
last week.
Craig reported via Instagram
that he suffered a broken thumb
while practicing. He wrote, "Had
a small tip over in a corner yes-
terday (December 14) and I mean
small. When I went to pick my
bike up, my thumb felt locked.
I went straight to get an x-ray
and found out I have a Bennett's
fracture. Luckily, it should be
an easy procedure early next
week."
A Bennett fracture happens
at the base of the thumb and
is the most common type of
fracture to the thumb.
Craig added that he will
compete in the East 250SX
Championship.
Stewart, meanwhile, was com-
peting in the Torino Supercross
(December 15) when he crashed
during practice. It appears his
bike had a mechanical issue
over a jump, resulting in Stewart
going over the bars and a violent
crash. Stewart was transported
to a hospital and did not com-
pete. He later posted on Insta-
gram "…overall I'm okay." CN
