In The Paddock:
Ten Of The Best
I guess if MotoGP is all your
comparing to, then Marc Mar-
quez is your guy.
He's certainly not a Kenny
Roberts, though, who won
championships in both GP and
AMA flat track. Marquez was
beaten by Brad Baker, who has
no championships, in flat track.
Your list pretty much sums the
MotoGP paddock list up. Not
much to choose from, so put
them in the order they finished.
Not really much to write about
or say!
Jeffrey R. Evans
I'm thinking riders three through
seven could be in any order you
choose.
Bruce Monk
Too bad Jonathan Rea doesn't
want to jump into the frying pan.

JD Beach To
Superbikes
Great news. I think JD Beach
will run up front with the factory
bikes (uh, all four of them).
I'm also excited to see if the
Yamaha dirt tracker will work in
AFT.
Just waiting for that Ducati-

announcement. Any day now—I
can't hold my breath much
longer.
Also, how cool is this [the
return of Kawasaki Team Green
to off-road]! Must confess that
I had to go back and read a
couple of 2019 KX450 reviews
to understand how much has
changed on this bike. And of
course it now has elec-
tric start, which I've got
to believe is must-have
in the woods at Josh
Strang's AA level (heck,
at any level!).
Good luck, Team
Green—welcome back
to the jungle!

The way it used to be. Race all
types to get the number-one
plate. Wish they would do a
series like that again!

Dual-Sport Shootout
I'd get back into dual sport if
a decent maker would reset
the seat heights. Sure, I know
you need clearance, but if you
have a 32-inch inseam you
are screwed with these bikes
with the shortest one being 36
inches. Tiptoe rides and stops
are not fun. My KLR was 35
inches and that was too much.
Rusty Mansel
The KTM is expensive, but
nothing really comes close, and
hasn't for over a decade. In case
you wonder, I bleed orange!!
Ken Boswell
I like the Beta's super light
[weight] and lower seat height.
They separate the gearbox lube
from the engine oil.
