Jordan Jarvis was awarded as the AMA Female Racer of the Year. She won the Women's (12+) Class Championship at the 2018 AMA Amateur National Arenacross Cham- pionship and the Women (12+) Ama- teur Class title at the 2018 Rocky Mountain ATV-MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. For the second consecutive year, Destry Abbott was named AMA Vet Racer of the Year. He won the Vet Class Championship in the 2018 AMA EnduroCross Series and competed on the E4, Elizabeth Scott U.S. ISDE Club team at the 2018 FIM Interna- tional Six Days Enduro while recover- ing from cancer treatment. Abbott was unable to attend the event. The 2018 AMA Youth Racer of the Year was Caden Braswell. He won the 85cc class title at the FIM Junior Motocross World Champion- ship, as well as the Mini Senior 2 (12-14) Class titles at the 2018 Rocky Mountain ATV-MC AMA Amateur Na- tional Motocross Championship. He finished third in Mini Senior 1 (12-13). The 2018 AMA Sportsman of the Year was Kenneth Held. He is a hard working volunteer who helped organize many AMA-sanctioned hare scramble events in the eastern United States, and also worked with up-and- coming off-road riders through his youth travel team program. AMA Recreational Off-Road Organizer of the Year Wisconsin Dual Sport Riders AMA Club of the Year Lansing Motorcycle Club AMA Media Award Mark Kariya AMA MOTORCYCLE HALL OF FAME INDUCTS SIX NEW MEMBERS T he AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame inducted six new members during at the 2018 American Honda AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris, Friday, Decem- ber 7. The 2018 inductees are four-time AMA National Enduro Champion Terry Cunningham, stunt rider Gary Davis, flat track and road racing tuner Skip Eaken, MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden, flat track racer Clifford "Corky" Keener and pioneering motorcyclist Mary McGee. Two Honda motorcycles were unveiled that celebrate the life of American racer Nicky Hayden, who died in 2017. American Honda donated the two motorcycles, a 2018 Honda CBR1000RR and a 2018 Honda XR650L, which were customized by Tony Prust of Analog Motorcycles and Jason LeCavalier of Artistimo Customs. The CBR1000RR is decked out in full Repsol Honda livery, while the XR650L was heavily modified in a street-tracker motif. During the ceremony, those gath- ered also honored the memories of AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame mem- bers who recently passed away: Michael Farabaugh, John Parham, Tom White, Bruce Brown, Derek "Nobby" Clark, Johnny Gibson, Gavin Trippe and Vaughn Beals. The AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Class of 2018 Terry Cunningham: Terry Cun- ningham is a champion off-road rider who played a significant role in the growth of off-road racing in the United States in the 1980s.
