IN THE WIND P30 REED WINS S-X OPEN C had Reed claimed the overall win at the first ever S-X Open in Auckland, New Zealand, No- vember 24. The race was a part of the Monster Energy S-X Open International Supercross FIM Oceania Championship, which included the S-X Open and the Aus-X Open in Sydney. Reed (Su- zuki) also won the championship. Reed went up against notable riders including Americans Chris- tian Craig, Justin Brayton and Dean Wilson, and fellow Aussie Hayden Mellross. Reed won all three feature races to take the victory over Mellross, who went 3-4-3 on the night. Wilson ended up third over- all, followed by Craig and Brayton. In the SX2 class, American Dakota Alix came away with the victory, followed by Ryan Mar- mont and Josiah Natzke. CN ISDE HEADS TO PORTUGAL T he FIM officially announced that the 94th International Six Days Enduro in 2019 will be held in Portugal. This will be the first time since 2009 that the ISDE will be held in that country. The ISDE will be staged in the city of Algarve in Portimao at the Auto- dromo Internacional do Algarve. With its large, purpose-built facility, the international motor racing circuit will act as the pad- dock and center hub of activity for the race. Utilizing the surrounding moun- tainsides, three unique routes will be laid out incorporating a wide range of terrain for riders to contest. The opening two days will be predominantly sandy, while days three, four and five will offer a contrasting character of forest and rocky terrain that will take riders into the country's highest mountain range. Daily routes are expected to be around 185 miles each in length. Actual dates of the 2019 ISDE are scheduled for November 11-16. Current plans indicate the 2020 ISDE will be held in north- ern Italy.
