but leave the hassle of everyday
life behind and get immersed in
the feeling of what it means to
have a good time at the races.
The place is packed. As you
walk into the pits there are Christ-
mas trees everywhere, as well
as food and merchant booths,
original artwork designed by the
Fasthouse crew and, of course,
endless amount of brew and Red
Bull for the many fans enjoying the
sunny weekend. The facility has
been completely transformed from
an everyday track to a weekend
campsite of fun.
For the Day In The Dirt races,
the Glen Helen track combines a
mixture of the facility's main track
and the smooth REM track, with
some off-camber enduro type sec-
tions. They also mix in some tight
corners, concrete culverts and
pavement sections. Lap times aver-
aged around five minutes or so.
