BLACK HILLS H-D DONATES 375 STRIDERS "I t takes a village to raise a child," said Terry Rymer, and a village showed up in form of his Black Hills Harley-Davidson dealership in Rapid City, South Dakota. Co-owner and his staff donated 375 Strid- er Bikes to the Rapid City Areas Schools (RCAS) so that every kindergarten student will have the opportunity to learn to ride a bike. The Strider Bikes were assembled by the Black Hills H-D staff, and donated to the school district through the Adopt-A-School Program, part of the nonprofit Strider Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. The Rapid City elementary schools will receive everything they need to get their students pedaling (through the kindergarten P.E. program). This includes the integrative curriculum, staff train- ing and certification, and of course, the child-friendly Strider 14x Sport bikes. "This is an exciting new venture for our staff and students and we are grateful and proud that Rapid City Area Schools is the first district to launch the initiative," said RCAS Superintendent Dr. Lori Simon. "The surest path to securing our future is to focus our collective energy on our goal to build the next generation of Harley-Davidson riders," said Al Rie- man, co-owner of Black Hills H-D. "We must become as good at building new riders as we are at building great motorcycles and creating unmistakable Harley- Davidson experience." CN The crew at Black Hills Harley-Davidson proudly donated 375 Strider Bikes to Rapid City elementary schools.
