With renewed primary sponsorship support from Monster Energy, the team is set to return to action as a dominant force again in 2019. "The 2018 MotoAmerica season was pivotal to put Yamaha back on top of the MotoAmer- ica Superbike podium and win our eighth championship in nine years," said Yamaha Racing Division Manager, Keith McCarty. "Cameron showed his strength and consisten- cy by winning several key races in the middle of the season to take the points lead and win his third MotoAmerica Superbike championship with races still left on the schedule. "I'm also very happy to announce that Mon- ster Energy will return as our Factory Yamaha Road Racing Team title sponsor for 2019. Without their support, it would not be possible to field this very strong team." CN Cameron Beaubier and Garrett Gerloff will again make up the Monster Energy/ Yamalube/Yamaha Factory Racing Team in 2019. HICKMAN WINS 52ND MACAU GRAND PRIX P eter Hickman (Bathams BMW) has won the 2018 Macau Grand Prix, taking the win from teammate Michael Rutter (Bathams Honda) and Martin Jessop (Ducati). Hickman held on, marking the third straight time he's taken victory at Ma- cau. John McGuinness made his competitive return to racing on the Be Wiser Ducati, taking 10th place. CN
