From eager anticipation to crestfall-
en. Riding position looks compro-
mised—just the opposite of a MX
flat seat/tank situation. Too much
worry about seat height leads to
too low seats and a fixed-in riding
position.
Very disappointed in release
timing. I'll be on a KTM 790 ADV
if Yamaha can't get this thing out
sooner.

Oh well. I needed time to save the
cash anyway. Looks good!

You know those times when you
were a kid and you knew your par-
ents were finally going to get you
that present you always wanted?
Then they said, "In two years."
Chris Smith
And this is what I was hyped about
for at least two years now? 8.3
inches of travel? 452 pounds? This
is just sad.
In 2020 when it comes to the
U.S. market, this will be already an
old bike. Will rather wait to see the
new 690.

Edelweiss MC Tour:
Bucket List
We have had many types of vaca-
tions over the years, guided and on
our own. My husband wanted to
ride a motorcycle in the Alps. Edel-
weiss Tours was his choice for our
first trip to Europe. We have now
done two Edelweiss Tours in the
past two years: Alps and Lakes,
and Life Is Beautiful (peaks and
passes, including the Stelvio).
We have seen beautiful
countryside, met other fabulous
adventurers, have had a fantastic
tour coordinator (Viktoria) and tour
guides (Paul, James, Manuel) and
experiences. We look forward to
our next bike trip with them.
We highly recommend Edel-
weiss Tours!!

Yanks In WorldSBK
How is it possible that we don't
have any American riders on good,
supported world superbike teams,
and on bikes that could win a race?
Every year, we see the freaking
same names kicked around from
team to team, Laverty, Melandri,
etc. It reminds me of Alex Barros.
That guy rode every brand in grand
prix.
Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts,
Kevin Schwantz need to pull some
strings and get our riders back in.
Jim Clausen
Unfortunately, it will take a lot
more than just pulling some
strings….Editor.
