VOL. 55 ISSUE 45 NOVEMBER 13, 2018 P55
I
f you're into the retro/custom super-
bike scene, you'll doubtless have
heard of AC Sanctuary. The Japanese
customhouse has built a formidable
reputation for recreating bikes like the
Kawasaki Z1 900 and Honda CB1100R
for the new millennium, using the origi-
RCM
nals as a base to produce some truly
stunning machines.
Such has been the demand for the
discerning, well-heeled customers that
AC Sanctuary now has their own U.S.
subsidiary in Gardena, CA, named
RCM USA—which stands for Radical
Construction Manufacture. These
motorcycles are strictly made to order,
creating a brand-new frame, fitting
top-shelf Ohlins suspension, Brembo
brakes and lightweight 17-inch OZ
Wheels and thoroughly working over
the air-cooled powerplant.
This particular-model is RCM A16-
004—a 1045cc, fuel-injected beast with
99 hp on tap and pushing 423 pounds.
And for those of you going to the Long
Beach International Motorcycle Show,
you'll be able to see this in the metal as
the Japanese garner publicity for their
new venture in Southern California. CN
