MCDONAL TAKES 2018 SRT AMA EAST HARE SCRAMBLES TITLE K yle McDonal (Bromley's Beta USA/McDonal Electric/ WER) claimed the 2018 SRT AMA East Hare Scrambles title at the ninth (of 10) round of the series in Monticello, New York, November 3-4. The race was originally the fourth round on the 2018 schedule, but, because of wet weather, was rescheduled from April to November. The race, hosted by NE- TRA's Tri State M.C., saw Brian Dussault (Beta) come from behind to take the day's win in the AA class. Dussault, in fact, was dead last on the first lap, but that didn't deter him one bit; instead, it only fired him up and he soon started cutting his way up through the 17-rider AA field. Dussault went on to take the win, with McDonal taking second place, which was good enough for McDonal to sew up the cham- pionship. Third on the day was Nick Kordana. NETRA's own Brendan Rior- dan (Yamaha) led a big chunk of the race only to have his trans- mission go out on him. He was credited with 13th in class. In the morning C race, Brayden Nolette was the overall winner aboard a 105cc Husqvarna. One more race is left on the 2018 schedule, that being in Mill- ville, New Jersey, November 11.
