FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 17 / NOVEMBER 2-4, 2018
SEPANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT / KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
P60
There was a good battle for
ninth, with local hero Hafizh
Syahrin (Monster Yamaha),
the first-ever Malaysian in the
premier class at his home GP,
hounding Danilo Petrucci's Alma
Pramac Ducati. He even got
ahead for a spell, but had fallen
four seconds behind at the end.
Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) had
been tailing brother Pol's Red
Bull KTM until the Austrian bike
was pulled into the pits to retire.
Less than two seconds down,
Franco Morbidelli (EG-VDS
Honda) had pulled clear of a
battling trio, leaving Crutchlow's
Alex Rins (42) rode like a demon
in the last few laps to close down
Johann Zarco and take second place.
Rossi showed the
old dog still has the
speed, very nearly
taking his first win in a
year and half.
