CN The 6th Annual Kurt Caselli Ride Day is fast approaching THOMPSON TOPS CANADA TRIPLE CROWN C ole Thompson (KTM) was the big winner at the third round of the Rockstar Energy Triple Crown in Quebec, Canada, November 3. In the 450 Pro-class final, Thompson was ninth after the first lap, while Colton Facciotti (Honda) led the way. Thompson, however, slowly worked his way up through the field and took over second place from Phil Nicoletti (Yamaha) on the 13th of the 20-lap race. From there, Thompson reeled in Facciotti, which led to a last-lap showdown be- tween the two riders. In the last turn, just before the finish-line jump, Thompson dove to the inside of Facciotti and the two bumped, and Facciotti went flying off the track, landing awkwardly on his back. Thompson ended up winning the race and Facciotti was credited with second place. Facciotti reportedly suffered back and lung injuries in the fall. Third place went to Nicoletti. Cody Vanbuskirk (Kawasaki) and Tyler Medaglia (Kawasaki) rounded out the top five. Thompson leads the championship with 694 points, followed by Facciotti with (683). Matt Goerke is third with 620 points. CN
