MONSTER ENERGY CUP / OCTOBER 13, 2018
SAM BOYD STADIUM / LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
P64
Racing the 2019 KX450,
Tomac was dominant in the first
two of the three main events,
passing his new Monster En-
ergy Kawasaki teammate Joey
Savatgy early in the first main to
take the win, then leading every
lap of the second main. Then,
with the pressure on going into
the final main event of the night,
off the start, Tomac got pinched
off and came out midpack. With
just 10 short laps, Tomac started

he was fifth, and he soon fought
his way into second, behind
Savatgy, with four laps to go, but
Savatgy had a gap that Tomac
had to absorb. On the final lap,
Tomac was within striking dis-

overall victory. You had to win all
three to bag the million dollars.)
"I was just full on," Tomac said
of his performance in the final
main event. "That was all there
was to it. I mean, it was just wide
open. I was making the passes
and then it was just all the way
to the end. This is just insane.
Unbelievable."
Reigning 450SX Supercross
champ Jason Anderson (Rock-
star Energy Husqvarna) ended
up second overall with a 3-5-4
score, highlighted by his fifth
