or something like that, and it just
jammed the rear brake on. I come
to a halt and obviously no one else
had anywhere to go and Marvin's
foot was in my wheel. I couldn't
take off luckily anyway because my
brake was stuck on and then obvi-
ously I saw Marv." Reed ended up
16th in that moto, and eighth overall
with a 9-16-3 score after he landed
a podium in the final main event of
the night. Musquin fought his way
up to ninth in the second main, but
dropped out of the final race on the
first lap. After the race, Reed said
on his Instagram page that if this
was his last supercross, he had a
blast. Last we heard, though, Reed
is still hoping to work out a deal to
race for the JGR team in 2019 for
supercross only.
NO SHOWS
Some notable no-shows included
the Honda HRC Team took that took
the weekend off. After having just
competed on a 250 at the MX of
Nations, 250MX and SX Champion
Aaron Plessinger needed more time
to get used to his new number-7
factory YZ450F, which he'll be rac-
ing full-time next year. Autotrader/
Yoshimura/Suzuki's Westin Peick is
recovering from hand surgery, and
Bullfrog Spas/Smartop Honda's
Justin Brayton his racing in Australia
at the moment. Rockstar Energy
Husqvarna's newest 450 rider Zach
Osborne sat out the race, as did
now-privateer Dean Wilson, who is
looking for a new ride.
Briefly...
Supermini
The Supermini class was absolutely dominated by Max Vohland, son
of AMA and GP racing veteran Tallon Vohland, who qualified first
overall in his class and then went 1-1 in the two motos.
Vohland looked smooth and fast all night. He qualified first in his
class with a time of 1:13.046, over a second faster than second-
qualifier Joshua Varize (1:14.270), then in the first Supermini moto,
Vohland had to go by Varize to take the win. Varize didn't make it
