Briefly...
DNA Shred Stix Yamaha's Jessica Patterson overcame a crash
and popping her shoulder out in
the first moto to come back and
win the second moto over series
leader Ashley Fiolek to earn the
overall victory in the Women's
Motocross. Patterson said one of
the flag men asked her what she
was doing when she was messing
with her arm and couldn't believe
it when she said she was trying to
put her shoulder back in place.
"The bars yanked my left shoulder
out in the first moto," Patterson explained. "The Asterisk crew taped
me up for the second moto and
that helped me get through it. I'm
really sore. I've got to cut out these
crashes." Tarah Gieger went 3-3
to score third overall. Fiolek, who
went 1-2, and leaves Millville with
an eight point lead in the standings over Patterson. The Women's
series now has a big break before
returning to action for round six of
eight at Southwick on August 27.

The Troy Lee Designs Honda rider
crashed in practice after hitting a

Craig said. "I'm going to try to

Washougal." Jake Canada hit that
same piece of wood in practice
