Binder (Red Bull KTM) was one
early leader, but was knocked
off by a headstrong Albert Are-
nas (Angel Nieto KTM); Sic 58
Honda teammates Nico Antonelli
and front-running Tatsuki Suzuki
collided and fell; while rookie
Kazuki Masaki (RBA KTM)
started on the front row and was
running with the leaders, only to
fall after a clash with Martin in
the brawl.
Martin now has 26 points over
Bezzecchi, 204:178, with the
latter now under threat from Di
Giannantonio with 175. Non-
finisher Bastianini is fourth at
133; non-starter Canet next with
118. CN
had trapped a nerve, bizarrely.
Not even sure he could start, the
last-corner tangle promoted him
to fourth place and a valuable
points haul.
With temperatures soaring to
86° and beyond and the simple
track layout keeping the field
packed close—a lead group 20
strong for most of the way—there
were other casualties. An un-
characteristically on-form Darren
Moto3 was nothing short of utter
madness. Fabio Di Giannantonio
(21) came out on top but it was
heartbreak for Marco Bezzecchi (12)
when Enea Bastianini punted him
on the final corner, decimating his
championship hopes.
