agny Cours offered Jonathan Rea and his KRT crew the first chance to win the 2018 Riders'
Championship in WorldSBK. And they needed no second invitation to get the job done with five
races of the year remaining, and two and a half rounds to go. At the French round, September 29-30,
Saturday's 21-lap race was all it took, and just for good measure he won again on Sunday.
In doing so he was to match, then overtake, no less a figure than Troy Corser with his new record
best total of 131 all-time podiums in WorldSBK. 130 Saturday, 131 Sunday.
