S TANDOUT FEATURE
Built-in jumpstarting system
RIDER AN ALYSIS
Dead batteries on motorcycles
and other powersports vehicles
are far too common. Letting the
vehicles sit too long between
rides or forgetting to turn off
your key often leaves you looking
for jumper cables or a jumper
box (Antigravity makes some of
the best options for those, by
the way). Antigravity was one
of the first companies to offer
lightweight lithium-ion batteries
for powersports and the new
Re-Start battery is equally light,
but also includes a built in Battery
Management System (BMS).
BMS provides lithium cell
balancing, low-voltage cut-off,
over-discharge/over-charge
protections and temperature
protections. All of this provides a
longer lasting and more reliable
battery.
Another innovative feature is
a four-terminal post design that
allows for easier fitment. But the
coolest feature is the Re-Start
function. We have thoroughly
tested the Antigravity Re-Start
battery and abused it with mul-
tiple cycles of regular use, mixed
with extended periods of non-use
and leaving the key on, and it
performs just as advertised. If
you do run it all the way dead, you
simply push the re-start button
on the top of the battery to get
the bike started. Then run your
bike for a while and it will be fully
recharged. Add in the fact that it
is a lightweight lithium design,
and this is the best battery option
on the market today. CN
•Re-start feature allows you to
"jump-start" your bike without
jumper cables or jumper box.
•Lightweight lithium-ion battery
that is in many cases, up to half the
weight of your stock battery.
•Depending on the particular bike,
the Antigravity Re-Start is often
smaller than your stock battery.
•You still must get to your
battery to use the Re-Start
button, but you would need to
do this to jumpstart the bike
as well. Antigravity is working
on a remote option.
