2005-2006 FIM Amp'd Mobile World Supercross GP Series "Reality is, this is a warmup race, and we have a lot of things to achieve," Reed said. "Things didn't look so well and didn't feel too great, but overall, I think we achieved a lot this weekend." Tedesco was impressive in his first race in the premier class, and he battled with Reed during the early stages, but he eventually finished a half-minute behind the Aussie. Wey also ran a strong race to finish fifth, but the night belonged to Stewart, who was obviously pleased with his accomplishment. "I think this was one of my best wins," Stewart said. "Last year, Dallas was my favorite one; it was my first 2S0 Supercross win. But this one is pretty close. This was probably one of the toughest Supercross tracks I ever raced on, with the ruts and stuff. It was very technical." Unfortunately for his opponents, Stewart concluded by saying: "There are still a lot of improvements I can make to make me a better rider. I learned a lot this week, and I will go home and train even harder." In the Supercross Lites division, Davi Milsaps, making his first ride for Team Honda, benefited from a mishap that teammate Andrew Short had while enjoying a large lead, to win the inaugural Amp'd Mobile Supercross lites-division main event. Short grabbed the lead at the start, followed by KTM teammates Josh Hansen and Nate Ramsey, while Sobel Samsung/Mobile/Honda's Jake Weimer ran fourth. Millsaps was enjoying one of his better starts and sat in sixth. After getting by Weimer, Millsaps put a block-pass on Ramsey to take over third. The KTM rider went down in the next turn when he clipped Milsaps' rear wheel. In the meantime, Short had pulled a considerable lead over Hansen in second, but on lap seven of the IS-lap race, he cased it over on the last jump of the triples and called it a day. Millsaps and Hansen rubbed DECEMBER 14, 2005 • CYCLE NEWS elbows for a few laps before Millsaps made a pass in the rhythm section and pulled away for the win. Hansen maintained second, while Sobe/Samsung/Mobile/Honda's Billy Laninovich rounded out the podium. "It was not the way I wanted to win, with Short going out, but I will take it," Millsaps said. "I made a couple of mistakes and Josh made a couple of miseN takes, but I ended up winning." ROGERS CENTRE TORONTO, CANADA RESULTs: DECEMBER (ROUND 1 Of 3, 2005 18) SUPERCROSS HEAT I: I.
