It is an island I 10 miles long and 3S miles wide, with a central mountain range that towers 4]00 feet above the sea. Spanish and English are the offidol languages. The track is primarily a drag strip with a counterclockwise road course consisting of hairpins, esses and chicanes at either end of a half-mile straightaway. The last comer, a large 180-degree left-hander, joins the drag strip at the launch area, with the surface changing from asphalt to concrete and built up with an inch of rubber. The rubber gets very slippery when it gets wet, so they cancel all activity when it rains.
