E
ddie Krawiec joined the
famed Vance & Hines
Screamin' Eagle Harley
team in 2007, and it took just one
year for him to become an NHRA
Pro Stock Motorcycle Champion.
However, it took nearly two full
years before he won his first race
and that rather unusual statistic
has haunted him throughout his
career.
This year, Krawiec removed all
doubts as he claimed his second
championship with a dominating performance that included
four wins in six final rounds and
a 35-12 record in elimination
rounds - by far the best in the
class. Through 16 tough rounds,
Krawiec battled against the best
riders in the class including his
own Harley teammate, Andrew
Hines, and up-and-coming rookie Hector Arana Jr. before finally
securing the title on the final day
of the season.
No one will ever accuse
Krawiec of being timid, so it
didn't take much prodding to get
him to open up about his second
championship, his on and offtrack battle with Arana Jr., and a
variety of other topics.
Is it fair to say this championship was more meaningful
than the first?
