McFadden.
In the championship, Beach
is on 348, Gillim has 250, the
and absent Valentin Debise is in
a tie for third on 150 with Bryce
Prince and McFadden with one
round to go.
Junior Cup
Alex Dumas made the most of
a bad weekend, failing to finish
in race one but taking seventh
in race two to win the inaugural
MotoAmerica Junior Cup on
his KTM Orange Brigade/JP43
Training KTM RC 390 R.
Dumas' main title rival Ashton
Yates (Yates Racing Kawasaki)
also failed to finish race one
and could only manage 21st in
race two, sealing the deal for the
seconds ahead of Mazziotto—the
weather, once again, making for
a processional encounter.
"I've been wanting to get a win
in the rain, but that's not the way
that I want to do it," Beach said.
"Hayden was going damn quick.
It was all I could do to keep up
with him the first four laps or
whatever it was. I saw him just

he was going to be a little pissed

the bike up and get going again.
I know he wants to get a win in
the dry. I hope it's dry in Barber."
The top five in race two was
rounded out by Miles Thornton
(Altus Motorcycles Suzuki) and
a win in the wet again for me
today. Honestly, I want the races
to be dry right now because I
really want to beat these guys in
the dry. The races are so good
in the dry; it's hard to not want to
do that. It's hard not to want it to
rain, too."
The top five in race one was
rounded out by local boy Antho-
ny Mazziotto (YCRS/Motorcycle
Mall Yamaha), and Kentuckian
Nick McFadden (M4 medAge
Suzuki).
With the title wrapped up,
Beach put the hammer down
in race two in treacherous
conditions, clearing off to an
8.03-second win over Gillim
(who crashed from the lead and
remounted), who in turn was 28
