BAYLOR BROTHERS 1-2 AT LOOSE
MOOSE NATIONAL ENDURO
T
he Baylor brothers, Steward and Grant, stood side-by-side on the
podium at the Loose Moose National Enduro in Marquette, Michigan,
September 9, marking the third time this season the siblings have shared
a national enduro podium.
Not only did they finish first and second, with Steward taking the win
and Grant second, but the dynamic duo dominated, with Josh Toth, the
third-place finisher, crossing the finish over a minute-and-a-half behind
Grant. In fact, a Baylor won all six tests, with Steward winning three (1-5-6)
and Grant winning the other three (2-3-4).
Grant appeared to have the win in the bag when he entered the final
test with an 18-second lead over Steward. However, a few of the Michigan
"Upper Peninsula" sink holes changed that situation.
"I had a good lead over Steward but then I lost a little time when I got
stuck on a rock in the fifth test," said Grant. "Then in the last test, I was
just trying to get through it, but there were some random sinkholes and I
ended up burying it up to my seat three times and I had to get off the bike
